First and foremost, May the 4th be with you. Almost thirty-seven years ago this month, Star Wars Episode IV: A new hope was released launching an empire of Sci Fiction movies, books, video games, and toys; if you hadn’t seen the box office hit you were missing out. Since then five additional movies have been released with countless games being produced all revolving around one galaxy. The phrase May the Fourth Be With You was originally said in 1979 in order to congratulate the new British prime minister Margret Thatcher; it read, ” May the Fourth Be with You, Maggie.” Since 2010/2011 the phrase has been coined by Star Wars fans, as a day to celebrate the franchise although the official date is May 25th. May 5th is known as “Revenge of the 5th” a day to let the dark/ Sith side out.
In celebration of the day Steam is having a sale on all Star Wars titles, equaling up to 60% off all titles. All the games can be bought for thirty-three dollars and ninety-nine cents; the package usually costs ninety-nine dollars and ninety-nine cents. If you are not a PC gamer then you are still in luck because Microsoft and Target are having a sale as well on all Star Wars items. At Target all Star Wars items are fifty percent off.
